This art colony is a forum for professional artists to exchange thoughts, methods and ideas and hopefully to gain friendships as well. We hope to cover different mediums, but the concentration will be with watercolor, oils and colored pencils to begin with. We would like to also do some step by step demonstrations here as time permits.

Stray Cat
6x9 watercolor on Strathmore 140 lb CP, Daniel Smith paints...10 minutes to draw then 1 hour to paint give or take a few minutes, done yesterday after work. Included in the past weekend drawing event, photo ref courtesy WetCanvas! She is a stray and no one knows if she is adopted or not. What a lost and lonely look in her yellow green eyes; such a lovely lady!

What a little sweetie I could take her home.
beautiful work Kay.
Verena, you can't have her. I want her !!! Poor baby.
Nicely done Kay !
No, No, girls...she'd be mine if we could find her...love love calico's. Gorgeous colors, Kay...and they're just this vivid in real life with these ladies. She's so pretty...somebody surely adopted her.
You have enough animals Janet, let Verena have her, he, he. She sure look nice, and painted on only one hour just blow me away. Beautiful as always Key.
One hour...shut the door...no way! I would still be drawing the eyes! ha!!! I hope she was adopted...they just found a lady here with over 50 dogs in her two trailers!! All are up for adoption...so sad.
Poor kitty - looks so forlorn...
but very well painted
Terrific little painting. Maybe we should have a one-hour challenge. Course Kay would always win. I need to allot one hour a day just for a small painting and see what develops. Maybe one less hour on the computer!
She is cute but scared. I love Calicos too. I hope she found a home.
She IS a lovely lady Kay! You've painted her "drama" so well!
awww..i love your kitty cats Kay!
