This art colony is a forum for professional artists to exchange thoughts, methods and ideas and hopefully to gain friendships as well. We hope to cover different mediums, but the concentration will be with watercolor, oils and colored pencils to begin with. We would like to also do some step by step demonstrations here as time permits.

Question
This came to my attention this morning and I'm wondering if any of you have used this service.
iPrintfromHome.com
I looked at the prices and it is close to what I get using my printer that is 3 hours from me...Debi, do you use their giclees or what service do you use?
I have my own print from home right here in my house... He's called james :) so no I've never used this company. To me it seems odd. We spend so long choosing our colour palette and getting the painting just as we want and then if you send an image off to these companies who never see your original so have no idea if what they are printing is similar. James spends ages, not only with me but other artists too with numerous test strips to get as close to the original as is printerly possible. I'm so lucky aren't I :)
look at this page on our website. It explains the process and guidlines for charges. Its a custom printing service though so we can print any size , any amount :)
Ona, I have thought so many times how blessed you are to have James right there to do what you need...as this takes up a large part of what an artist does...and it is a worry that you never have to deal with. Wondering if going through Canada with shipping etc would make it more expensive...will have to check.
I have used them for a long time for slides and photos. Haven't had a slide made in years, and now I print my own photos. I had them do a few small giclee prints, but now I prefer to buy good inkjet paper and print my own small prints. The quality of the slides and photos was great 3 or 4 years ago..

My son does all of my printing and it takes up alot of time. It is hard sometimes getting him away from his things to do it.
For many years I have used their services for having slides done and have always been happy with the quality and service.
I've always had my printing done locally and its quite expensive.
I've never heard of them but will be happy if you'd be my guinea pig and try them out for me...(KIDDING!)Good luck!
I have heard of them but not talked to anyone who has used them. I'm on RedBubble and ArtSpan who both have printing services.
