I forgot to post this. I remember some was talking about masking tiny things. The thing you see on top here is a scriber, I use it a lot for tiny lines, and it is great to paint with to. The stiff  brushes works very good to lift out paint with, and works great for painting to.

Ahhhh these look like some of my scrubber brushes! I still have not used the scribber even though I have had one a long time...wonder where it is as I should try it!

I lift out quite a bit - use a lot of scrubbing things. It's a good technique with watercolor.

Scrubbing conjures up housework . I'm trying to think of an other term for it. But, yeah, I do it too. I just didn't know one needed a special tool...I try to remember to not use a good brush !

Aud Rye made this brushes, and had a company to produce them, they are very handy.

I would like to know more about your scriber - where would you look for one of these?

I know this tool as a "ruling pen". It came in drafting sets in the old days (before cad drafting). They are used for ink. You can still find them in art supply stores. Ask for a ruling pen.
