"Got Milk?"

Boy...I sure hate to post behind Solveig's gorgeous iris, but it's the last day of our white challenge and I made myself paint this little thingie at art retreat today. When I was having my little glass of milk this morning I got the idea to paint it...got out a blue/turquoisey napkin...photo'ed it, and threw paint. Red will be more fun...started to put a Hershey's white wrapper Mr.Goodbar with the little red hearts on it there at the bottom, but y'all would accuse me of cheating...so...I ate it.

trying again
Even lactose intolerant me loves this painting. Love the blues, the bubbles the glass and the milk - this painting almost makes me want to go pour myself a tall cold glass of the stuff! - although - it really does not love me.

Thanks Janet, Janie and Helen...y'all are all too kind. I'm having some photoshop problems with resizing and this looks huge...glad my son is coming in this weekend so he can help his technically challenged mother.

Oh boy! I love these simple scenes of ordinary life that are now transformed into fantastic art!!! This is brilliant, Mollie! What size is it?

mollie jones said...

Thanks, Kay...it's small...5x7(probably 6x9)..I've cropped it down a bit.

You don't have to milk us here for compliments Mollie! This one speaks for itself! Wonderful! I love the various blues you've used. They really capture the essence of the liquid in the glass...as a matter of fact...I'm thirsty for some odd reason...got milk? Yep!

Hi Mollie, what do you think I felt posting after Oda,..or any of you.

I do not understand at all hove you look at a glass of milk, and think I can paint this, it is just great, I have to start learning to look closer at things.
I do not drink milk either, never done,..had bad kidneys from I was a child, and the doctor sad it was not good for me, I dont know, wine is fine.

Love how the squares fade out in the corner, and love the bubbles! Can't believe there isn't a speck of red somewhere. This is my kind of subject matter. I love to take simple everyday items and make people look at them differently. You've got a winner here in that category!
